Das hier ist mit unter einer meiner lieblings Songtexte der absolut genialen Band Tool
Für mich gibt es keine genialere Band:
Die Texte sind inhaltlich sehr wertvoll (im Gegensatz zum heutigen "Atzen-Style")
Die Musik und Melodien sind gigantisch (im Gegensatz zum Hip-Hop)
Und die Artworks und Alben Designs sind abgöttlich genial
Alles zusammen macht diese Band zwar sehr Anti-Mainstream, aber genau das ist es was sie aus macht.
Es sind keine Songwriter im Spiel, die nur auf das Geld aus sind.
Sondern es ist die Band, die live auf der bühne steht auch gleichzeitig die Band, die hinter der Bühne Melodien und Texte schreibt und (man muss wissen der Gitarrist Adam Jones für Jurassic Parc Dinosaurier gestaltet hat) die per Stop-Motion animierten Videos kreiert.
Die Texte sind in der hinsicht einzigartig, da sie oft doppelt und dreifach deutig sind und sie ohne, dass man zwischen den Zeilen gelesen gelernt hat man überhaupt nichts damit anfangen kann.
Der nächste stammt von dem Lied "Lateralus" (Ein Augen-Muskel) und fast für mich perönlich den Gedanken der Aufklärer und besonders den Ausspruch Kandts: Habe mut dich deines eigenen Verstandes zu bedienen. Außerdem ist die Rede davon, dass man nicht immer in allem einen sinn sehen muss, sondern auch mal die knapp 10 Minuten, die das Lied dauert nachdenkt und quasi "Meditiert"
Ich hoffe euch gefällt der Text genau so gut, wie mir, jedoch wird er besonders wirksam wenn ihr die Musik im Hintergrund dazu hört :).
